Family and Consumer Science

At ESTEM Middle School, our Family and Consumer Science (FACS) program offers students the opportunity to develop essential life skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Family and Consumer Science 1 is designed to introduce students to fundamental life skills, including basics in cooking, nutrition, and practical problem-solving. As they progress, students delve deeper into cooking techniques, exploring creative food ideas and learning to prepare meals from scratch. This hands-on course encourages students to think critically, work collaboratively, and gain confidence in the kitchen, equipping them with practical knowledge that promotes self-sufficiency and healthy living. Through FACS, ESTEM Middle School is committed to fostering skills that empower students both in and out of the classroom.
