E-STEM Grading Policy

Summative Assessment Narrative Rubrics

  • All summative assessments scores should be based on narrative rubrics.
  • Narrative rubrics are to be created using district/state learning targets in conjunction with the E-STEM grading scale. (See grading document for examples)
  • The rubric needs to be created commonly by each content area (ex. 6th grade science or 6th grade math).

E-STEM Grading Categories

Formative: 20% (Daily Work)

  • Formative assessments (quiz, exit ticket, etc.)
  • Class work - Practice
  • Homework - Informs our teaching
  • Progress monitoring

Summative: 80% (End of Unit Assessments)

  • Projects
  • Tests
  • Presentations
  • Any other summative work
