Counselor

Hello!

My name is Courtney Queen. I am excited to serve as one of E-STEM's school counselors, and I look forward to meeting you and your student this year. This is my 7th year in education and 5th year at E-STEM as a school counselor. I am a graduate of THE Ohio State University where I hold a Master's of Education in School Counseling. Although I lived most of my life in Ohio, I am a proud resident of Minnesota and have been thankful to create such a wonderful community here at E-STEM. Outside of school you can find me at Minnesota United games or on a walk around the lake with my family.

School counselors are uniquely qualified to address all students academic, career, and social development needs through a comprehensive school counseling program. The E-STEM counseling program follows the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) model and was recognized in the 23-24 school year for being a Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP).

During the academic year your school counselors at E-STEM support students through....

  • Classroom lessons (academic success, career exploration, transition to high school, and values lessons)
  • Small Groups
  • Short-term individual counseling
  • Individual Advising/ Personalized Learning Plans
  • 504 case management
  • Managing the Peer Tutoring Program
  • Class Registration
  • Peer Mediations
  • Restorative Practices
  • 3B/ Honor Roll Ceremonies
  • Attendance Plans
  • New Student Orientations

and more!

Please reach out if you have any questions or would like us to meet with your student for any reason throughout the year.
