Olson, Samantha

 

 

Hi! My name is Samantha Olson, and I am so excited to be your student's 8^th grade Physical Science Teacher this year! I am starting my 7^th year of teaching, and my second year at E-STEM! I previously taught at BCMS for 4 years (6^th Grade Physical Science) and at a charter school for 1 year (6^th Grade Math and Science). I absolutely love science and my goal for students is to help them become critical thinkers who re able to question the world and make informed decisions. Most of our learning will take place in our classroom but please talk to your student about what they do each day in science. They can tell you all about our experiences that we will be having together!

I was born and raised in St Paul, MN and graduated from Johnson Senior High in 2012. I went to college at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND where I worked in the Chester Fritz Library and as a gymnastics coach! I am currently working on my master's degree through the University of the People, which is an online school. 

When I am not working, you can find me hanging out with my dog (Ducky) or with my family. I have a niece and nephew who I adore and try to visit as much as possible. I also love to take road trips around the country during school breaks.
